Art created for collecting? 1. What a painting can tell?

At any time, a work of art had a sense. Whether it brought a message about virtues and rules close to people or a self-portrait revealed the suffering of a soul. A painting could empathize with a glorification of the epoch or simply told about the atmosphere. People could feel provoked and understood in the illustrations of paintings and sculptures, graphics and drawings. They used art as works of documentation. Who could afford it, has commissioned artists to let be stated to immortality or for eternity. The artist had its meaning.

In today's life and the development of all possible technical implementations, the craft has changed considerably and extended to the creation of visual messages.
Sticking a defined time period no longer requires the duration and effort as before. Laboriously to move the brush to create a documentation of time, that needs no one any more. The reference also loses to this created things.
If I spend several weeks or even months with a painting, so also I give myself with my soul in the depths. The painting grows, will be caressed and sharpened. It will be able to tell more and more. In general, the created work gives to you as much soul as it gets.  A painting can occupy no time to really be considered, if it was only quickly decorated.  From documentation till decoration. Nice but diverting. A Flirt.

What is the significance of the artist?  With the growing awareness the artist is increasingly becoming a ridiculous lapdog, flattering for any party, vernissage and gallery, museum or salon. Has he not interesting philosophical approaches that fit the majority as inspiring abstractions for appetizers and bubbly? At auctions, they serve to refresh the price as anecdotes.

For me, as a painter with studies and diploma and with the awareness of being and non-being, arises ever more the question of the dignity of art and artists.
Instructions are written for art collectors that incapacitate the meaning of art viewer for the art. Not the painting itself is considered in terms of the motive and craft, the act of trading itself becomes an object of art. It is a stock exchange of relations, which unfortunately no longer allows the relationship to the work itself.

If a work of art has nothing to say to its owner, if a work does not tie him or touch him, so it should not be for him. Then it has no value. It's like reading a book. The one is mature and deep. The other only a bound paper, which fills a gap on the shelf.
Without any meaning. In this way it also honors the creator.
